I am originally from South Africa.  I have lived in the USA for about 27 years now.



My family lived in Minnesota when we first came to the USA.  So, unfortunately I have to suffer most of the NFL seasons rooting for my Vikings.  I hope that they will win the Superbowl sometime during my lifetime.



A few years after high school I decided to join the US Navy to see the world.  I ended up seeing Hawaii, Oregon, Washington (state) and California during my 14 years in the Navy.  Never even set foot on a ship!



I ended up in the San Francisco Bay Area and that's when I decided to get out of the Navy and go back to school.
